What we keep, and why.
Clarified uses your email address to sign you in. Supabase stores your account, chosen display name, followed topics, subscription status, and saved stories. These account records are private to you.
Your choices
You can read the public briefing without an account. A free account syncs your reading list and topic preferences across devices. You can unsubscribe, export your reading list, or delete your account from the account page. Deleting your account removes its preferences, saved stories, and subscription records.
Service providers
Vercel serves the app. Supabase provides authentication and database storage. The configured email service delivers sign-in messages. OpenAI powers the editorial research workflow; subscriber email addresses and reading lists are not included in newsroom research prompts.
What your browser stores
Essential cookies keep you signed in. If you browse without an account, your saved stories and interests stay in that browser. Clarified does not include advertising trackers. External sources and photos are served by their publishers and may receive normal connection information when you open or load them.
Your account email is used for secure sign-in. Subscribing to the feed does not enroll you in a marketing email digest. RSS works without sharing an email address.
